Huge well done to our four Year 9 girls who travelled to Everton FC to take part in the Leicester City Inspires programme finals! ⚽️💙
Although they didn’t come away with the win, they are absolute winners in our eyes for reaching the finals, an incredible achievement! 👏
We are so proud of their hard work and the way they represented us throughout. 🌟
This morning we held our Year 11 Good Luck Assembly for GCSEs 💫
Students watched surprise good luck videos from staff and received special letters from home wishing them the very best.
There were a few tears along the way but Mr Modi was on hand with tissues when they were needed most!
Year 11 we wish you the best of luck. Go smash those GCSEs, we’re all rooting for you! 💪🎉
Can You Help Us Break the Record?
Our Ibstock School Y11 Prom GoFundMe page is now live, and we need your support! https://gofund.me/a016e32c7
Last year, our amazing community helped raise a fantastic £750 to support Prom celebrations for our students. This year, we are setting the challenge even higher… can we beat the record and go beyond £750?
Every donation, big or small, will help create a memorable Prom experience for our young people and give them the celebration they deserve.
If every family gave a little, together we could achieve something incredible.
Let’s show the strength of our community and smash last year’s total!
Please donate if you can and share this post far and wide. Together, we can make Prom 2026 our best one yet!
🎉 Reward for Excellent Attendance! 🎉
Students who achieve 100% attendance this week will be rewarded with a non-uniform day on Friday 8 May.
Every day counts!
Well done to the CREWS that have earnt a non-school uniform next Friday, 1 May.
Please remember to bring in your equipment and P.E kit if applicable.

A huge thank you to our Stephen Lawrence Ambassadors for organising today’s bake sale! 🍰
Together we’ve not only raised funds, but also helped spread awareness and keep important conversations going. This year’s theme is Fairness, Courage and Change.
Proud of the effort and impact you’ve made today. 💛
🚀 Big news from the Seneca leader board! 🚀
We’ve officially taken 1st place for Seneca XP points 🏆
Massive shout out to everyone who’s been putting in the work, staying consistent, and pushing each other to the top. This is what teamwork and dedication look like 💪
Let’s keep the momentum going 🔥
On Wednesday 22nd April, we will be marking Stephen Lawrence Day at our school. This is an important opportunity for our community to come together to reflect on equality, celebrate diversity, and promote positive change.
As part of the day:
• Students are invited to wear something orange alongside their school uniform.
• Staff will also be wearing orange to show their support.
• Our Stephen Lawrence Ambassadors will be running a bake sale at the front of school at breaktime and lunchtime.
• This year’s theme is Fairness, Courage and Change.
We look forward to marking this meaningful day together as a school community and thank you for your continued support.
