Hello Yellow Day – Friday 10th October
On Friday 10th October, our school will be taking part in Hello Yellow Day, a national initiative organised by the charity YoungMinds.
The aim of the day is to raise awareness of the importance of young people’s mental health and to show support for the message that no one is alone with how they feel.
We are inviting all students to wear an item of yellow clothing or an accessory alongside their usual school uniform. This could be something as simple as a pair of socks, a tie, or a hair accessory.
In return, we are asking for a voluntary donation of £1, which will be collected on
the day. All proceeds will go directly to YoungMinds to support the valuable work they do with children and young people across the UK.
We hope that students will enjoy taking part in this event, whilst also recognising the importance of mental health and wellbeing.
Thank you for your continued support.

📚 Join Us for Book Club! 🐶📖
Yesterday was our exciting first Book Club meeting after school, where we went on a fun adventure with Beau, a lucky rescue dog! 🐾 We followed Beau’s journey as he befriends Penny, a kind young girl, and joins her family, although he’s not too fond of Mable the cat, who loves to stir up trouble! 😺🚫
We explored the games Beau and Penny love to play 🎲, and even met a hilarious pigeon named Bomber 🕊️😂. As the story unfolds, Penny and Beau hear about a strange, crazy name man, Adolf, on the wireless 📻, and they start to wonder if a war might be coming... 😟🕊️
Our Book Club meets on Tuesdays after school and Fridays during lunch 🕒🍴. It’s a relaxed, fun way to enjoy great stories, share ideas, and make new friends! 🎉🤝 We’d love for you and your child to join us — come see what the excitement is all about!
Staff held a Macmillan Coffee Morning yesterday during break time to raise funds for the charity.
Donations from thousands of Coffee Mornings, big and small, help raise vital funds to support the almost 3.5 million people in the UK living with cancer, from the moment they are diagnosed, throughout treatment and beyond.
A big shout out to The Little Bluebird Café for donating some coffee cups to our school for a science experiment ☕🫖🍰🧁😁
