🔥🌳 Forest School 🌳🔥
What an afternoon! Our Forest School students have been busy today — getting stuck into building a campfire from scratch AND constructing their very own chair out of wooden pallets. 🪑
The teamwork, problem-solving and sheer determination on show is brilliant to see. From fire safety to hands-on carpentry skills, our students are learning so much more than they realise outside of the classroom.
Huge well done to everyone involved — what a way to end the week! 👏

✨ Ibstock School Awards Evening ✨
What a fantastic evening we had last night celebrating the achievements and successes of OUR students! 🏆👏
Students from Years 8, 9, 10 and 11 were recognised with awards for their progress, commitment and achievements across each subject. It was wonderful to celebrate so many individual successes and see the pride on the faces of our students, families and staff.
We were also delighted to welcome back some of last year’s Year 11 cohort to celebrate their successes and hear about all they have gone on to achieve since leaving us. It was fantastic to see you all again! 🎓
A huge thank you to all of our amazing performers, your talent, confidence and hard work really made the evening extra special. 🎶🎭

🏃♀️🏃♂️ RUN WITH RICH 2026! 🏅💛
What an incredible day! We were thrilled to take part in Run with Rich for the second year running, joining Paralympic gold medallist Richard Whitehead for a fantastic 5K charity run. @richard_whitehead_mbe @richard_whitehead_foundation
A huge WELL DONE to our top three fabulous winners, two Year 7’s and one Year 11. They absolutely smashed the course in an amazing 20- 25 minutes! 🤩👏 What an achievement!
Most importantly, it was wonderful to come together as a school community to support two brilliant causes — raising money for the Richard Whitehead Foundation and helping us raise funds towards our very own school sensory garden 🌿💚.
Thank you to everyone who took part, supported, encouraged and cheered us on. We are so proud of everyone who got involved!
