Y9 Options and Progress Evening
This is one of our most important nights of the year, as we begin the GCSE journey formally with our Y9 students, supporting them to make the best decisions around the subjects they pick.
We were joined by PCSOs from the Bardon beat, along with Vikki Rundle-Brown, head of Ashby School Sixth Form.
As part of our ongoing commitment to support professional development and encourage collaboration across LiFE MAT, Ibstock School will be finishing early on Thursday 12 February 2026 at 2pm.
Please note, bus travel arrangements have been made for the earlier pick up time.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support!
📅 Thursday 5 February | Year 9 Progress & Options Evening
We will be holding our Year 9 Progress Evening, giving parents, carers and students the opportunity to discuss progress in individual subjects with teaching staff. Please note the booking system for appointments has now closed.
On the same evening, we will also be hosting our Options Evening, where students and parents can explore GCSE subject choices. Information will be available that explains what each course involves, what students can expect, and the opportunities each option offers, as well as to answer questions and provide guidance to support informed decision-making.
We look forward to welcoming you for an informative and valuable evening.
Parents and carers, don’t forget the school aged immunisation service is coming to school on Friday 6 February 2026 to offer young people in year 8 the chance to have the HPV vaccine.
Make sure you fill out the online consent decision form that has been sent to your email address or phone.
If you need help or have questions you can call the service on: 0300 3000 007.
More information about the vaccine can also be found on: https://lptnhs.com/schoolHPVinfo
Congratulations to our students with the best attendance last week! We see the effort, and it matters 👏🔥
