Yesterday our Year 11 students experienced their mock GCSE results day!
This is a key milestone on their journey toward the real exams. We’re proud of the resilience they’ve shown in approaching these mocks and the determination to give their best effort.
Mocks are not the end—they’re an opportunity to learn, reflect, and grow. Now is the time to identify knowledge and skill gaps, strengthen understanding, and keep building confidence for the summer exams.
Stay focused, stay resilient, and keep moving forward Year 11 —you’ve got this!
Thank you to the kind person who handed in a student ID badge yesterday. What a lovely community we live in!
📢 GCSE Certificate Collection
GCSE certificates will be available for collection on Thursday 18 December 15:00 – 18:00 from Ibstock School Reception.
⏱️ Learning time well spent!
Our students have already clocked an impressive number of hours on Sparx Science, Reader & Maths.
Proud of the effort. Keep pushing, and don’t forget to complete this week’s homework! 📖💥
Our partner at the Foodbank has said:
‘We take all dried goods and packets - we also take toiletries. At the moment we are also asking for mince pies, Christmas puddings, selection boxes and anything else that is Christmassy.’
Anything that you are able to donate will be gratefully received. Thank you for your support.
Some of our staff members are raising funds and awareness this Movember, and they need your help! Please donate whatever you are able, to help support men`s health.
Thank you!
We are closed on Friday 28th November 2025 for a Disaggregated Teacher Day.

This morning students were visited by Anji Forsyth, Clerk of Ibstock Parish Council. Students shared some of their ideas of what they would like to see in the local area. Our students were really enthusiastic and shared some really great ideas about what facilities they would like to see, as well as what other people in the community would like. From sports areas to disability friendly play equipment, dog parks to places where they can just sit and chat, students came up with some fantastic ideas.
